Toshiba Hydro Power (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., its Chinese subsidiary for the manufacture, sales and maintenance of hydroelectric equipment, has completed the supply and commissioning tests of the equipment for the Qingyuan Pumped Storage Power Station in China, which started commercial operation of the last unit on August 20.

Toshiba Corporation has completed the world's first commercial-use carbon capture and utilization (CCU) system constructed in a municipal waste incineration plant, in Saga Japan. The CCU system will start operation from August 26 and will capture 10-tons of carbon dioxide a day from the flue gas of the incinerator.

Toshiba Corporation has been awarded a contract by Thailand’s Gunkul Engineering Public Co. Ltd. to construct a mega-solar power plant in Kimitsu, Chiba prefecture, Japan.
