A consortium of Toshiba, IHI Corporation, Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., has won an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a 2,000MW ultra-super-critical coal-fired power generation project in Mukim Jimah in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia (Project).

Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation has established a new manufacturing company as a wholly owned subsidiary in Penang, Malaysia. This subsidiary, which will begin operations in December, 2014, will be Malaysia's first diagnostic imaging systems manufacturing base. This new manufacturing base will be involved in the production of diagnostic ultrasound systems and printed wiring boards.
